College Park, MD, 12/02/2009—Skyline Innovations is excited to announce its first solar thermal installation at College Park Car Wash,  an occasion which marks the company’s formal entrance into the renewable energy industry.

Skyline Innovations partnered with College Park Car Wash of College Park, MD to finance and install a system which will satisfy 30% of the business’ hot water demands. In operation since 1995, College Park Car Wash has been recognized numerous times as one of the top performing car washes in the country by the International Car Wash Association and Professional Carwashing and Detailing magazine.  Owned by Dave DuGoff, College Park Car Wash features 5 self-serve and 3 touchless automatic bays.

The installation, completed by Solar Energy Services of Millersville, MD, includes six Apricus-30 evacuated tube collectors and two dual-coil water heating tanks. Formerly Perry Energy Services, Solar Energy Services has 30 years of experience in residential and commercial solar installations and is a major provider of design and installation services for solar thermal systems in the Mid-Atlantic region.
